An Eco-Campus in Harmony with its Environment and Committed to Sustainability
One year after the inauguration of the MEGA, Eric Berton, President of Aix-Marseille University, planted the first tree of the Eco-Campus. He was joined by Fabienne Blaise, Deputy Rector, Eric Chevalier, Deputy Mayor of Aix-en-Provence, Cyril Dupuy, Deputy Director of VINCI Construction Bâtiment Sud-Est, and Bruno Decreuse, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEG) at Aix-Marseille University.
On this occasion, he emphasized: "This project was conceived holistically, combining energy efficiency, simplicity, effectiveness, and seamless integration within this magnificent site while preserving and enhancing the existing bastide. Above all, it meets the expectations of our colleagues—faculty members, researchers, and our students."
This environmental commitment was a guiding principle from the very inception of the MEGA, as evidenced by the design guidelines adopted for its development.
Values of Academic Excellence
The ECO-Campus reflects a strategic academic ambition (endorsed by the French Agency for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education) and a strong political determination to bring together, on a single site, the Aix-based research centers in economics and management affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Management!
