Abstract The objective of this research is to set the ground for new research to measure the impact of Industry 4.0, by combining two types of analysis, that of the performance, and that of the human behaviors, using experiments with digital instruments. A preliminary test, then a first experiment focusing on standardization of operational processes are presented showing promising results to understand how operational and human performance are impacted by the Industry 4.0. This study serves as a first step to a larger research project about productivity measurement of Industry 4.0 transformation.
